Andy–Unfortunately, there is no quick fix here. Irons are tough to refinish primarily because of the platings (usually Chrome and Nickel). If you want a rust-free, professional refinish, you would have to chemically strip the platings, remove the nicks and dings, and then re-plate them. This is a long process, but could definitely be a fun project!
